The former Curtis Grocery store in Fowlerville will soon become the Fowlerville District Library.

Fowlerville District Library moving to old Curtis Grocery site

The Fowlerville District Library will be on the move soon.

The library, currently located at 131 Mill St. in Fowlerville, will be moving to the former Curtis Grocery store, 130 S. Grand St. The move will take place in the next six months to a year, as renovations are made to the former grocery store.

Books will be replacing bagels and berries in the new location, which had been a grocery store for decades. It was Frank’s IGA for many years before becoming Rosati’s Marketplace and then Curtis Grocery. The store closed late last year.

Library officials say they’re excited about the new location because it will give them quite a bit more space.
