You can help shape career opportunities for county students

Sharing is caring!

Livingston Educational Service Agency (LESA) is inviting community members, parents and guardians, and school staff to help influence the growth of career experiences programs such as Career & Technical Education (CTE) in Livingston County by participating in an anonymous virtual focus group.

As workforce needs continue to evolve, community input plays an important role in preparing students for successful careers. Participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives on current CTE opportunities, awareness, and future priorities for career and college preparation in Livingston County.

To ensure honest and unbiased feedback, the focus groups will be facilitated by Hanover Research, an independent third-party research organization. All responses will remain anonymous and confidential.

Separate virtual groups will be held for each audience:

• School staff: 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11

• Community members: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12

• Parents/guardians: 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14

Feedback gathered through these discussions will help inform future planning, communication, and decision-making for student opportunities across Livingston County.

“This is important because we need the ideas, needs, and thoughts from members of our community surrounding career and college preparation for our students,” said Michelle Radcliffe, assistant superintendent for career development.

“Hearing directly from those we serve helps us better preparestudents for a successful future while strengthening connections between education, business, and our community.”
