The fourth annual 9/11 “Never Forget 5K Trail Run/Walk” steps off at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Fillmore County Park, 7075 McClements Road, Brighton.
Hosted by Livingston County Veteran Services and Howell Recreation, the event is presented to remember those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, as well as our military veterans and first responders who went into harm’s way as a result of the attack.
This trail is not stroller-friendly and is not paved. All participants will receive a finisher medal. A portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase AEDs for local American Legion and VFW posts.
Organizers request that the only dogs to join the event are service dogs.
Packet Pickup:
Organizers ask that participants pick up items in advance if possible, but packets will be available on site for race day starting at 8 a.m. Reminders will be emailed before the event.
Participants can pick up their packets from 8.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 9-10 OR 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Oceola Community Center at 1661 N. Latson Road in Howell.
Results:
Accurate chip time and current overall will be texted to phones and available live on the site.
