NASA says meteorites likely landed near Hamburg Township

If you’re looking for a piece of the meteor that exploded over Michigan on Tuesday evening, Livingston County is the place to be. According to a NASA scientist quoted in the Detroit Free Press, the meteorites likely landed in an area 2 1/2 miles west of Hamburg Township. “People shouldn’t look for big boulders,” said NASA’s Bill Cooke. “It’ll be just like tossing a rock in the snow.
