The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce is being recognized for Outstanding Workforce Development Program.

The Howell chamber joins 16 other program alumni, professionals and programs to be honored in one of four categories — job training, workforce development program, workforce development professional, and service — at a Michigan Works! Southeast event on April 7.

“This ceremony allows us the opportunity to focus on the accomplishments of the award recipients, while demonstrating outstanding passion for workforce development,” said Sean Duval, CEO of Golden Limousine and chair of the Michigan Works! Southeast Workforce Development Board.

Award recipients must have made an extraordinary contribution to workforce development and exemplify the highest standards by promoting efforts to make their communities better places to live, work and prosper.

Michigan Works! Southeast is part of a statewide network of organizations that contributes to the economic prosperity of our communities by developing a strong, talented workforce. The agency serves businesses and job seekers in Livingston, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee and Washtenaw counties.
