Police are investigating a 56-year-old Brighton man who shot himself in the buttocks Friday at the Legacy Sports Center at 9299 Goble Drive in Green Oak Township. According to a Facebook post by the Green Oak Township Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 7:10 p.m. Friday on the report of a “loud boom” at Legacy. When they responded, they found that the man had “shot himself in the buttocks after adjusting his pants”; he was transported by Livingston County Ambulance to a local hospital.
