Looking for challenging, varied home workouts? Local athlete’s Instagram is a hit

With gyms across the state shut down because of COVID-19, all the workout warriors out there are likely going stir crazy looking for challenging, fun and varied home workouts.

Han and Meels Fitness has the solution. And it’s all totally free.

The @hanmeelsfitness Instagram page was started a few years ago by Hannah Lewis and Amelia Moorehouse, two college gymnasts from Michigan who wanted to share the unique workouts they had created. With the COVID-19 gym shutdown in place, they’re finding their innovative (and totally free) home workouts are needed now more than ever.

Lewis (a native of Saline) and Moorehouse (a Gregory resident and FlexTech High School graduate) both competed on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team, where they were co-captains and national qualifiers in 2019, their senior year. They’re both in grad school now, and they’re continuing their fitness push.

The @hanmeelsfitness Instagram page is a mixture of workouts and inspiration, and the great thing about the workouts is that many of them can be done with little to no equipment.

You’ll find their Instagram page HERE.
