Livingston County Animal Shelter Adoption of the Week: Picasso

Have you ever wanted your very own Picasso? This is the sweetest boy you will ever meet! Picasso is a laid back, 3-year old brown and white tabby with gentle green eyes. He is a big, cuddly guy weighing in at a lean 11 pounds. Picasso is very friendly and would do great in a home where he can play with toys, do some leisurely bird-watching from the window, or spend a sunny afternoon outside. He is a gentle soul and loves snuggling.

Picasso is FIV positive, but don’t let that stop you from adopting. FIV can only be transmitted to other cats through a deep bite wound, and he has shown absolutely no aggression to other cats. It can’t be transmitted to humans. Please read up on it. FIV positive cats live long, happy, and healthy lives. Once you meet him, you will fall in love!

Picasso is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on medical.

The Bissell Pet Foundation’s National Empty the Shelter event is Oct. 1-4. During this event, the Bissell Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees. This is a perfect time to meet Picasso and other animals available for adoption. Check them out at or call (517) 546-2154 for more information.

By day, Cheryl Ellis is a project manager at a specialty pharmacy. The rest of her waking hours are spent taking photos for her website, Harvest Moon Photography. She was inspired to start volunteering at the Livingston County Animal Shelter after adopting a senior cat named Samson.
