Livingston County Animal Shelter Adoption of the Week: Lucy

This little gem of a lady is ready to find her new family. Lucy is a 2-year old chocolate and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix. This sweetheart can be described as playful, fun, easy going, and friendly to everyone she meets.

Lucy would make a great family dog and has quite a zest for life. She loves getting new toys but is not much into sharing them with other dogs. For this reason, she would be best in a home with no other dogs. She does, however, enjoy playing with other dogs at doggie day care and at the park.

Lucy knows basic commands and has good manners. She enjoys walks and is leash-trained. She gets nervous in the car so it would be best to crate her during rides. Lucy is used to an invisible fence, house-trained, spayed, and up to date on medical.

EXCITING NEWS! The shelter is holding an Easter basket fundraiser this week. Baskets donated by volunteers are being auctioned off and all proceeds will benefit the Livingston County Animal Shelter. Online bidding will run through March 31, 2021. Winners will be notified by email and baskets will need to be picked up by April 3, 2021. We are thankful for the support of the community. Visit for more information.

Sharing is caring!

By day, Cheryl Ellis is a project manager at a specialty pharmacy. The rest of her waking hours are spent taking photos for her website, Harvest Moon Photography. She was inspired to start volunteering at the Livingston County Animal Shelter after adopting a senior cat named Samson.
