Livingston County Animal Shelter Adoption of the Week: Dove

Dove is a friendly little lady that came in as a stray over a month ago. She has not adapted well to the shelter life and is looking for a new home to call her own sooner than later. She would be great as an indoor/outdoor cat. Dove is not a fan of other cats and has been hanging out in her condo most of the time. When other cats come around, she does not attack but rather hisses and hides.

Dove is a sweet girl and loves human affection. She will roll on her belly and bat at your hand, prompting you for a belly rub. She prefers to have her human all to herself, so a calm and quiet home would suit her the best. Dove is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on medical.

Looking to add a new member to your family? Check out Dove and other animals available for adoption at or call (517) 546-2154 for more information. If you are interested in a foster-to-adopt option, contact the shelter, or come by for a visit.

Sharing is caring!

By day, Cheryl Ellis is a project manager at a specialty pharmacy. The rest of her waking hours are spent taking photos for her website, Harvest Moon Photography. She was inspired to start volunteering at the Livingston County Animal Shelter after adopting a senior cat named Samson.
