Livingston County Animal Shelter Adoption of the Week: Cara

Cara is a gorgeous 1-year-old purebred Rottweiler who loves people and is looking for a family to call her own. She is a high-spirited wiggle-butt who enjoys chasing balls around the yard, but will also slow down long enough to snuggle right up in your lap. Due to Cara’s high level of energy, a fenced-in yard is preferred and a home with smaller children is not recommended. She knows a few commands but would do well with someone familiar with the breed who can provide additional training and socialization. Cara is not a fan of cats and we are unsure of how she will interact with other dogs. She is spayed and up to date on her medical.

By day, Cheryl Ellis is a project manager at a specialty pharmacy. The rest of her waking hours are spent taking photos for her website, Harvest Moon Photography. She was inspired to start volunteering at the Livingston County Animal Shelter after adopting a senior cat named Samson.
