Livingston County Animal Shelter Adoption of the Week: Bogie

Meet Bogie!

Bogie is a very active 2-year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix with the breed’s characteristic amber eyes. As is typical with Chessies, he loves playing in the water and splashing around the pool. He is full of energy and in addition to any water-related activities, Bogie enjoys walks and playing fetch. When he is all worn out for the day, he makes a great cuddler.

Bogie would do better in a home with older children due to his excitable personality and would benefit from some training. He is nonreactive to other dogs in passing but we have no information on how he is with cats. Bogie is neutered, up-to-date on medical, and microchipped.

Looking to add a new member to your family? Check out Bogie and other animals available for adoption at or call (517) 546-2154 for more information. If you are interested in a foster-to-adopt option, contact the shelter, or come by for a visit.

Sharing is caring!

By day, Cheryl Ellis is a project manager at a specialty pharmacy. The rest of her waking hours are spent taking photos for her website, Harvest Moon Photography. She was inspired to start volunteering at the Livingston County Animal Shelter after adopting a senior cat named Samson.
