Lake Trust hosting Community Shred Day

With summer underway, Lake Trust Credit Union’s Community Shred Day gives community members a way to safely and properly dispose of their paper documents containing any sensitive information at no cost.

No pre-registration is required for the event, which runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Lake Trust Credit Union’s Howell Branch, 4465 E. Grand River Ave.

All shredded paper will be recycled, further helping the environment, and ensuring our community is clean while your information is safe for years to come.

A list of unacceptable materials include:

  • Syringes and sharp objects

  • Food, glass, cans, etc.

  • Ink cartridges and toners

  • Metal objects – hanging folders

  • Batteries of any type

  • Electrical items
