As a way to celebrate the birth of the firm founder’s first boy and sixth child, due in August, Foguth Financial Group is conducting a diaper drive with the goal of collecting 42,000 diapers to support two local clinics in need. The event kicked off on Thursday, July 16, and coincides with the firm’s seventh annual shred day. Collected diapers will be donated to the LACASA Center, a center that strives to protect, advocate for and empower victims and survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as the Pregnancy Help Clinic, which supports families throughout their pregnancies and life journey.
“According to the National Diaper Bank Network, one in three families experience diaper need,” said Michael Foguth, founder of Foguth Financial Group. “Diapers aren’t something you can opt out of purchasing and there currently are no government aid programs for diapers, so in honor of the birth of my first son and sixth child, we’re using this exciting time in my life to give back to the community.”
The lofty goal of raising 42,000 diapers is reflective of roughly how many diapers Foguth and his wife, Brooke, will have gone through once all six of their children are potty trained. The couple’s son will join five sisters, ages 3-10.
Diapers can be dropped off at Foguth Financial Group located at 315 W. North St. C, Brighton, MI 48116. Diapers can also be directly delivered to firm by using their Amazon Registry here. The diaper drive is set to end Friday, August 14, 2020.
