Keri Hayes of Pure Fitness Personal Training in Brighton has developed a new line of healthier baked goods that she’s selling through her new business, Whey Better Bakery.
Hayes, a certified physical therapist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, is also certified as a corrective exercise specialist, fitness nutrition specialist and youth exercise specialist, has spent the last five years perfecting a small baked goods line to satisfy her own appetite for sweets. Once her personal training clients got word of her baked goods, they asked how they could get their hands on some.
There are options for all comers, whether you’re after the cheapest set you can find – it’s just a weight with a handle, after all – or ready to splash out on some durable cast iron, shiny chrome, or some-kind-of-black-magic adjustable dumbbells that change the weight for you at the click of a button. Once you’ve got your weights, you need the well-planned home workouts, take a look this 14 day fitness challenge, the perfect training plan for you!
That’s how she started the Whey Better Bakery line.
Hayes removes much of the added sugar from her goods and adds whey protein, which makes you feel fuller faster and prevents spikes in blood sugar levels. She says she’s learned to balance great taste with better ingredients to bring customers a better balance in their diets.
Whey Better’s treats are handmade, and all the recipes are all trans-fat, preservative-, flour-, and gluten-free.
Whey Better Bakery produces small batches from scratch every day, using natural ingredients like heart-healthy rolled oats, light brown sugar, and the finest chocolate, and added ingredients like peanut butter, toasted pecans, sweet cranberries, and dark chocolate chips.
Whey Better Bakery products can be purchased online by clicking here, or at Pure Fitness, located at 111 W. St. Paul St. in downtown Brighton.
