Cram the Cruiser collects 18K pounds of food

On Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, members of all police departments in Livingston County went to local grocery stores and accepted donations of nonperishable food. The Livingston County community supported this effort by donating 18,000 pounds of nonperishable items, as well as over $1,500 of cash.

Donation locations were the Kroger stores in Hartland, Howell, Brighton and Hamburg; Aldi’s in Brighton and Howell; Busch’s in Pinckney; and Walmart in Fowlerville and Howell.

Participating were the following police departments: Brighton, Fowlerville, Green Oak, Hamburg, Howell, Pinckney and Unadilla; as well as the Michigan State Police and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

All donations went to local food pantries and other non-profits that help feed those in need.
