The Historic Howell Theater Backlot Drive-In movie experience will open on Friday, July 10, 2020, with the 35th anniversary of “Back To The Future.”

Showtimes are Friday, July 10; Saturday, July 11; and Sunday, July 12. Tickets are only available in advance at

Once you purchase your tickets, you will receive an email with instructions for arriving, purchasing concessions, restrooms, and guidelines for having a safe experience. For now attendees will view the movie from the safety of their car and listen through the car radio or by bringing their own portable FM radio. Guests are permitted to watch from the back of a pick up truck or the back of a hatch back.

The Historic Howell Theater will be starting with 10 cars per night while it looks for its best configuration. Cars will enter and exit off Sibley Street behind the theater. Concessions can be purchased in advance at the theater’s online store or during the movie on the theater’s website, or by phone to be delivered to your car.
