Four people were injured in a crash at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the intersection of Highland and Musson roads in Oceola Township.
According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, a 2013 Tesla Model S being driven by an 18-year-old Howell man was heading east on Highland Road (M-59) when it struck a 2004 Honda CR-V being driven by a 62-year-old Howell woman as she was trying to turn left to head north on Musson Road.
The force of the collision pushed the Honda CR-V into the westbound lanes of Highland Road, where it was hit by a 2021 Dodge Ram being driven by a 39-year-old Howell woman.
The driver of the Tesla was transported by Livingston County EMS to Trinity Health Ann Arbor with serious injuries. The driver of the Honda CR-V was transported by EMS to the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor with serious injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram and her 9-year-old passenger were transported to the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor with minor injuries.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, while seat belt use and distracted driving remain under investigation.
The roadway remained closed for four hours for investigation and clean up. Deputies were assisted by Michigan State Police, Howell Area Fire Department, and Livingston EMS
The crash is still under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Bureau.
