‘But Colin Kaepernick took a knee’

On Jan. 6, thousands of violent insurrectionists — many motivated and influenced by the sitting president of the United States — stormed the U.S. Capitol, breached its security, and attempted to violently prevent the usually routine and peaceful process of confirming the vote for the legally elected new president.

“But Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem before a professional football game. In so doing he was disrespecting the American flag.”

One of those arrested at the Capitol was draped in an American flag, and then he tried to beat a police officer with a hockey stick.

“But Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem before a professional football game. His claim that Blacks suffered from police violence was disrespectful to police.”

A member of the Capitol police on Jan. 6 said he was called “n—-r” at least two dozen times by the mob — many of whom were waving Trump banners — and police were attacked with Blue Lives Matter flags. One police officer was killed during the riot and at least 100 were injured.

“But Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem before a professional football game. In so doing he was insulting the people who fought for our flag and he was being unnecessarily divisive.”

Both the National Homeland Security and the FBI have issued reports that say that white supremacists – many of whom identify themselves as followers of Donald Trump – are by far the biggest domestic violence threat facing America today.

National statistics show that police shoot and kill Black suspects — including those who are unarmed and who are not committing any crime — at a much higher rates than for whites.

“But Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem before a professional football game. And Dr. Seuss. And Mr. Potato Head. Don’t you understand what I’m saying?”

  1. A ride along with a Police officer would help Rich Perlberg to get a touch of reality. As a retired officer ,I’d be happy to help make that happen. Rich get a hold of me.

  2. What a pointless attempt at some sort of relevance by a RINO. I can’t stand the constant division of every detail of life in this country according to the color of someone’s skin, but if you want a truly indisputable statistic, in the U.S., a black person is far more likely to be shot and killed by another black person than a police officer of any color. Perhaps someone should take a stand on that.

  3. CNN watching drone, bet no articles on the riots all summer long…….joke
