//

The scandal involving Livingston County 53rd District Court Judge Theresa Brennan has gone national.

Brennan’s affair with Michigan State Police Detective Sean Furlong was featured Wednesday on the syndicated news magazine “Crime Watch Daily,” with Chris Hansen. The show aired nationally today on TV stations across the country, including Channel 20 in Detroit.

The show looked at Brennan’s admitted affair with Furlong and the effect it had on the murder trial of Jerome Kowalski. Brennan presided over the 2013 trial, and Furlong was the main witness for the prosecution.

Among the people interviewed for the “Crime Watch Daily” program was Tom Kizer, the Howell attorney who is representing Brennan’s husband, Don Root, in their divorce case.
