January 31, 2017

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS), in collaboration with Trinity Health Senior Communities and Trinity Health At Home, have aligned to better reflect its consumer-facing brand across southeast Michigan.

Trinity Health Senior Communities, which offers independent and assisted living, memory care, nursing care and rehabilitation services, will rebrand its facilities in southeast Michigan as St. Joseph Mercy Senior Communities (visit carltonseniorliving.com/location/davis/ and get more information).  Trinity Health At Home, which provides in home senior care, began serving this region as St. Joseph Mercy Home Care and Hospice in 2015.

“Consolidating our presence under the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System brand enables us to showcase the breadth and scope of our care continuum and strength of our organization across southeast Michigan,” said Rob Casalou, regional president and CEO, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. “By utilizing the St. Joe’s name and brand, we want to strengthen the connection between these continuing care services so consumers better understand that the health system services are unified and integrated.”

With the growing population of those over 65 years of age, both senior living and home health needs will be rising over the next ten years, and St. Joe’s is positioned to meet those needs for area residents.

In southeast Michigan, Trinity Health Senior Communities operates and manages 15 senior living communities located in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Clinton Township, Farmington Hills, Fraser, Imlay City, Livonia, Monroe, Rochester Hills, Southgate, Warren and White Lake.   Thirteen of these Trinity-owned senior living communities in southeast Michigan will be re-branded as St. Joseph Mercy Senior Communities. Future senior living communities will come under the SJMHS brand over time. Marycrest, located in Livonia, was the first to adopt this shared branding which coincided with a major renovation featuring 72 private guest suites, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation and therapy.

St. Joseph Mercy Home Care and Hospice rebranding began two years ago in Oakland County with Trinity Health At Home’s Troy program, and continued with programs in Washtenaw, Livingston and surrounding counties to the west. Most recently, ChelseaHomecare was rebranded St. Joseph Home Care – Chelsea following its March 2016 ownership transfer to Trinity Health At Home. Every day, St. Joseph Mercy Home Care and Hospice impacts thousands of lives while caring for patients and providing bereavement services for grieving community members in southeast Michigan.
