The Howell High School Performing Arts Department will travel through the wardrobe and into the mysterious land of Narnia when it presents “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.”  The play will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center. Advanced tickets are $12 for adults and $9 for students and seniors, and can be purchased from the Howell High School main office and at Schafer’s House of Music. Tickets prices will increase by $1 at the door.

“The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” is the story of the great lion Aslan (Joshua Standley), his struggle with the White Witch (Annie Courtney) and the adventures of four siblings Peter (Steven Bonk), Susan (Becca Bishop), Edmund (Nic Bishop) and Lucy (Isabella Bisio) who wander through an old wardrobe into the exciting and enchanting world of Narnia. The play is full of action, and features chases, duels, and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan.

“We are very excited to bring the magic of Narnia to life on the stage of the Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center. We have an amazing cast made up of students from Howell High School as well as our middle and elementary schools,” said Amanda Malo, Howell High School drama teacher and director of the play. “All of the music for the play will be provided by the very talented Howell High School Percussion Ensemble class.”

The Rod Bushey, Performing Arts Center is located at 1200 W. Grand River Ave., Howell.
