Restaurant Poll 2017: And the winners are …

////

For years, residents of Howell have lived with restaurant envy for Brighton’s dining scene.

But no more.

Howell has smashed through the restaurant envy ceiling. Of the top five restaurants in the “Best Overall” category of our restaurant poll, four are located in Howell.

And leading the poll this year is 2FOG’s Pub, located in the basement of the Heart of Howell building.

Among its healthy number of showings, the unique eatery with a speakeasy feel captured a baker’s dozen of first-place nods in The Livingston Post’s first-annual restaurant poll, the most of any.

The 2FOG’s project has garnered lots of other awards, too, including the 2015 Architectural Investment Award from the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, and this year’s Building Improvement Award from Howell MainStreet for its expansion, which added a full kitchen and additional seating.

Howell’s dining scene also saw a strong showing from Adam Merkel Restaurants, with Diamond’s Steak & Seafood and The Silver Pig earning a number of nods.
