Resinger, Tambasco, among those receiving awards at Howell chamber’s annual dinner

The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 61st Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Presentation on Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Johnson Center at Cleary University. The event will recognize community leaders and achievements, and spotlight key Howell Area Chamber of Commerce programs and activities in 2017.

“We are delighted to announce a number of our award winners in advance,” said Pat Convery, Howell Area Chamber of Commerce president. “The big award of the evening — the announcement of the Citizen of the Year — will be kept a secret until the dinner when it is revealed by Patti Griffith, 2016 Citizen of the Year.”

Award recipients being honored at the annual dinner include: Rick Resinger, Champion Automotive Group, Outstanding Event Leadership Award; Brandi Tambasco, Howell Carnegie District Library, Young Professional Award; Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority, Innovations in Youth Services Award; Livingston Educational Service Agency, Game Changer Award; Adam Merkel Restaurants, Community Investment Award; City of Howell Police Department, Above and Beyond Award; and three companies will receive the Jobs and Prosperity Award: TG Fluid Systems, Thai Summit, and Chem-Trend Limited Partnership.

The 61st Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Presentation is sponsored by Saint Joseph Mercy Livingston and PNC.

The annual dinner celebration begins at 6 p.m. Dinner is served at 7. Cost to attend is $60/person, $450/reserved table of 8 or $550/reserved table of 10. Reservations can be made by emailing mtokan@howell.org or by calling the Howell chamber at (517) 546-3920.
