Parker singers performing with regional honors choir

On Saturday, Oct. 22, eight students from Parker Middle School will perform with the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) Regional Honors Choir at South Lyon East High School.

To be part of the Regional Honors Choir each student went through an audition process with Kelli Falls, Parker Middle School vocal music director. To prepare for the performance, the students are staying after school twice a week to rehearse as well as practicing at home. While at the Regional Honors Choir event, the students will audition for the MSVMA State Honors Choir.

The students selected for the Regional Honors Choir include Lola Dombroski, Hailey Douglas, Shaine Godfrey, Carson Harris Matteah Kersanty-Hufano, Rya Kirchberg, Isis Lemanski and Erica Makowski.

The MSVMA Regional Honors Choir performance will begin at noon Saturday, Oct. 22, at South Lyon East High School, 52200 W. Ten Mile Road, South Lyon.
