Livingston County Camp Fair set for Feb. 23

Camp Image CroppedAbout 30 camps and other organizations sent representatives to Livingston County’s first Camp Fair last year. The organizers of this year’s event already have about 20 exhibitors signed up, and expect an even bigger turnout than last year.

For those of you not familiar with the idea, a Camp Fair is like a camp expo. It is an informal interactive event where parents have a chance to really talk to personnel from local camps, get to know them, and ask them questions. Parents have a chance to learn about different camp options, compare them, and make informed decisions about their child’s summer activities before the last minute. This makes it a little easier to find a camp that is a good fit for your child, your schedule, and your budget. It also makes it a little more likely that your child will have the best possible summer camp experience.

Parents pay nothing to come in, move from table to table at their own pace, visit with the camp representatives, ask questions and collect information in a comfortable, no pressure, convenient environment.

This year’s Camp Fair will be at The Commons, 7526 W. Grand River, Brighton (in the old Brighton Tennis Club), across from Woodland Health Center from 10am-2pm on February 23.
