It’s time to put on your favorite, festive running gear and work off that turkey dinner at the Fantasy 5K on Friday, Nov. 24 in downtown Howell. The race begins at 6 p.m. Run the certified course down Grand River Ave. while thousands cheer you on. Stay for the Fantasy of Lights Parade that starts at 7 p.m.

Pre-registration is $30 through 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20. After that, registration is $35 per runner.

Register online at howellfantasy5k.com or in person at the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce office.

On race day, Friday, Nov. 24, register at the First Presbyterian Church, race headquarters, starting at noon.

Proceeds from the Fantasy 5K benefits local charities. Last year, more than $8,000 was donated to local non-profit organizations.

This year all registered 5K participants will receive a Fantasy 5K long-sleeve T-shirt, and the lighted gift will be a blinking Rudolph nose, while supplies last.
