We are looking for sponsors to partner with us on The Livingston Post’s “Favorite Teacher Contest” in each of Livingston County’s five public school districts.
In return for a sponsorship fee of $500, you will get ad space that runs on every district’s contest. Or, you can choose to sponsor the contest in a single district for just $125.
All ads will click through to your website.
We are starting with the Howell Public Schools, and will move from there to the Brighton Area Schools, Fowlerville Community Schools, Hartland Consolidated Schools District, and the Pinckney Community Schools. The contests will wind up before the end of this school year, with a favorite teacher chosen in each of the five districts.
The contest is simple: We are running one contest in each district; sponsors get to choose whichever contest they want to sponsor for $125 per district, or sponsor all five for $500. People will nominate their best/favorite teacher in each district by commenting on The Livingston Post with a sentence or two about what that teacher meant to them. There is no time limit for when nominees taught: The nominations can be for teachers who are currently working in each district, or who have retired years ago.
We will winnow the nominations down to 10, and readers will then return to the site to cast a final vote for the district’s top teacher of all time.
We will promote the contest heavily on Facebook and Twitter, as well as on The Livingston Post.
Sponsors will get to present the winner with the award at their school. If the winner is not available, the award will be presented to the school. We will cover each of the presentations on The Livingston Post.
