Cromaine participating in Libraries for Life organ donation initiative

The Cromaine District Library, 3688 N. Hartland Road in Hartland, is participating in Michigan Libraries for Life, which educates the public about organ donation, and urges people to sign up on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry.

The event runs Tuesday, Oct. 10, through Monday, Oct. 16.

A commemorative quilt in honor of the drive will be on display throughout the week. Volunteers will staff a registration table with refreshments and giveaways at various times during that week.

Barbara Rentola, Cromaine’s Libraries for Life coordinator, said she is “proud that the volunteer presence and support for the program has grown each year” the library has participated.

During this week, Cromaine will be one of more than 150 libraries across the state participating.
