The Community Theatre of Howell is now accepting registrations for its youth summer theatre camp, set for July 18-29.

The camp has been developed to teach a broad curriculum of basic theatre skills to a large range of ages. This fun and educational opportunity focuses on theatre’s “Triple Threat.” Participants will enhance their skills in the areas of singing, acting, and theatrical movement in a fun, safe and enjoyable setting. Students will participate in activities that include theatre games, improvisation, cold readings, dance and production movement, vocal warm up and skill building, as well as individual and group work.

The camp has a special section for children just entering first grade in the fall of 2011. This class is specifically designed to meet the instructional needs of our younger students while still introducing them to the basics of the theater curriculum and performance experience.

No previous theatre experience is necessary. Availability is limited so don’t delay.

Please contact camp Director Scott Usher at susher@gmail.com or 810-844- 1713 for more information. The registration brochure is also available online in PDF format at http://www.cththeatre.org/education/education.htm
