Charyl Stockwell Robotics Teams heading to world championships

At the Michigan State Championships earlier this month, Charyl Stockwell Academy High School’s FIRST Robotics team placed 53rd out of the 461 teams in the state, thus qualifying the team to compete in the World Championships taking place in St. Louis on April 26-29.

This amazing accomplishment was achieved after 12 roller coaster preliminary matches, three heart-stopping quarterfinal matches and two semi-final matches during the State Championship. It is a tribute to the extraordinary persistence and hard work of CSPA High School students and their adult mentors, along with the unwavering support of CSPA families.

This is the fourth year in a row that the CSPA GEMS (#4362) team has qualified to compete in both the State Championship and the World Championship, and this year, the only team from Livingston County.
